At Panache, whilst we recruit at all levels of the legal hiring spectrum within private practice (Associate to Partner level), our excellence is best demonstrated in the recruitment of Partners and small teams.
Whilst Panache focuses predominantly on the Paris market, we also enjoy a modest offering in Germany in several major business hubs, including Frankfurt and Hamburg.
Who We Are: The Background to Panache
Panache Legal Recruitment grew out of the career history, reputation and clientele of Grahame Warby. Grahame’s personal career started in White & Case and Sullivan & Cromwell in London, gaining him exposure to various legal specialisms including Corporate, Banking, Capital Markets, Project Finance and Arbitration law. After a 2 year period in-house, Grahame fell in to recruitment and has been actively engaged ever since.
Having grown in up in Paris from the age of 14-18, Grahame speaks excellent French, knows the city and his clients very well. To him, working in Paris is second-nature. From an early stage in his recruitment career, he decided he could recruit as well in the Paris market as he could in London or any other market he had worked in before. It turned out he could do so even better in Paris in fact, and it’s little wonder that he has been recognized by Google, certain clientele, and one or two publications as one of the best recruiters in the City.
Having mostly enjoyed his recruitment career to date with various decent legal recruitment agencies, Grahame formed Panache Legal Recruitment in February, 2026, with strong support from a large number of his clients. The goal - to do more of the same, but the way he and his clients like to do business, and not beholden to the unnecessary internal nuances seemingly customary in the recruitment agency world. We aim to keep things simple, focusing purely on the needs of our clients and our candidates.

Typically our recruitment processes take an average of:
- in the case of Junior Associate - Senior Associate hires, 2-3 months from initial client mandate to closing the deal;
- in the case of Counsel-level hires, 3-4 months from initial client mandate to closing the deal;
- in the case of Junior - Senior Partner hires, 5-9 months from initial mandate to closing the deal; and
- in the case of Teams, 6-12 months from initial mandate to closing the deal.
